I got a new camera that looks like an SLR, it actually is a bridge cam, 15x zoomable and 14.2megapixel. Cheape camera compare to SLR, yet it captures photos like an SLR. It costs me Php9,995 to buy the GE X5 from SM MOA, it comes with free battery and a charger, a strap and a 4GB SD memory card. It comes in two different color, black and white, and I have the cute white GE X5.

Aming Kalsada, Sana Maayos Na :(

Kailan kaya maayos angaming kalsada, nawala na aming lolo at lola hanggang ngayon kalsada nami'y lubak pa. Ilang mayor na ang nagdaan, ilang kapitan na ang nanungkulan, hanggang ngayon lubak at putikan pa. Talaga bang walang inilaan ang pamahalaan para sa aming barangay? Maraming magsasaka ang umaasa na sana sa lalong madaling panahon ito ay maisaayos na, sana hinaing nila at naming lahat ay dinggin na nila. O baka naman abutin pang kami ay ugod-udog na? Huwag naman sana :(

Sunsilk Expert - Touched Style Blog Contest - Awarding of Winners

Last May 26^th, after the Sunsilk Co-Creation Fashion Week event at MOA Atrium, there was an after party dinner held at Mall of Asia, during the after party, Sunsilk announced the blog contest and how bloggers will win a Lenovo Idealpad and ipod. I fortunately was able to join in Sunsilk Expert- Touched Style Blog contest which was ended on 31^st of May, last minute, I submitted my entry to Hair Experts. After a week or two, there came the announcement of the finalists, I received an email from one of the admin peeps and she told me that I made it yey!! As I have written in one of my posts here, I really wasn’t expecting to win, my purpose is to gain viewers, that is why when I learned that I was one of the finalists, I felt happy and lucky as this was unexpected.

I was lucky that the venue for Sunsilk Expert-Touched Style Blog Contest awarding of winners was at Taste Asia, few walks away from the office as I am working just nearby the mentioned resto, at One E-Com Center yey. Ms. Rona texted me an hour before the awarding started. Since I will be just utilizing the elevator and few of my steps, I left the office ten minutes before 12, it was a lunch awarding though. And as I reached the area, I found one mom and three beautiful ladies including Ms. Rona.

The mom I am referring here is the mother of one of the finalists Paula, she was the early bird, next is me, followed by Ellen Joy Castel, also Paula came in right from her Med class from PLM (and she is my fellow PLMayer too!!) then people from Unilever, led by Carlo and Jem (oh sorry I forgot the rest). The lunch was served. I enjoyed our lunch while conversing with Ellen, Tita Tala and Carlo. By the way, the topic was interesting, it was about a motherhood feeling towards their sons and daughters being in a relationship (I will have a separate post for this one, this really needs a sincere and innate idea).

While we were having our lunch, Arvin and Kessa arrived and joined us eating.

The long wait was over, there came the announcement of winners. Well, all of us were already winners, 5 got home an iPod nano and the lucky winner went home with a Lenovo Idealpad. First blogger called was Ellen Joy Castel, next was Paula, followed by Arvin and the girl Willit, whoa, two more and my name has not been called yet. Finally, my name was called, OMG, I thought it was me hehehe, but I was still very happy. Kessa took home the Lenovo Idealpad, lucky her, a great birthday gift! When we were having our picture taking I was beside Kessa and I felt her whole body shaking, indicating the excitement and how happy she was to be the winner of this contest. I felt her happiness and I was very happy for her! Paula was not able to witness and receive her ipod, she left at 12:30 because she still had a class to attend to.

Sa Mga Bagong Luklok

Martes, ika-2 ng Nobyembre, papauwi na ako pabalik ng Maynila. Paglabas ko ng bahay, makarating sa kalsada sa bahay ng Tiya Ellen, huminto ako at naghinaw ng paa, ang mga yao'y lubhang naputikan bunsod ng malakas na ulan. Habang ako'y naglilinis naririnig ko ang usapan ng mga tao doon, ng aking Tiyo Ramon, at ang dalawang bagong halal na konsehal, sina Tiyo Nanding Magkawas at Fidel Garcia. Ang sa wari ko'y pinaguusapan nila ang isang bagong problema sa barangay, as I eavesdropped, ito ay tungkol sa sirang gripo. Narinig kong sinabi ni Tiyo Ramon, pagtulung-tulungan nyo yan, kaya kayo nahalal ay para tulungan ang tao. Na sa tingin ko nama'y talagang ginagawan nila ng paraan para ito ay maresorba.  Pagkatapos ay nagpalitan ng tanong na, magkano kaya ang tangke, so on and so forth.

Isang magandang pahiwatig, nawa ay ipagpatuloy nila ang ganitong gawain para sa ikabubuti ng aming barangay.Sana'y dumating ang araw na ang kalsada naman ang kanilang pagtutuunan ng pansin. Ay naalala ko, nung pauwi kami galing sa Bungoy, kaming lima ng aking inay at mga kapatid at ang aking hipag ay sumakay ng tricycle pauwi, masyadong malubak ang kalsada at mataltal, nasambit ko tuloy sa driver, "dahan dahan po, may buntis dito sa loob", totoo namang may buntis, sa paraan ng pagpapatakbo nya kasi ay halos mauntog kami sa bubong ng tricycle, nadagdag pa ang pagkalubak ng aming kalsada. Hay, ang lubak, tinambakan ng malalaking bato na lalong nagpahirap sa pagpapatakbo, sakit kaya sa pwet, try nyo! Sana, maglaon ay maayos na ng tuluyan ang amin kalsada.

Once Upon a Time in Wonder Island

October 09, 2010, Saturday, I was forced not to attend my class to accompany my friends in Wonder Island. Jen asked me to join them and been contacting me three weeks prior to that date. And she got my yes last Saturday :-)

Came October 9, I woke up early than usual class day, I need to as I will be travelling from Pasay to Calamba, I had two hours travel in mind. I left Pasay at 6:30 in the morning and was expecting to arrive Calamba Laguna at 8-8:30. While on the bus, I took a nap and was surprised I was already in Turbina at about 7:15 am, OMG I did not know it was that fast. I had to take my breakfast first in McDonalds Waltermart to awaken my drowsy mind so I can enjoy my lamyerda. I texted Wayne that I was already in the tryst and so she had to leave earlier because of me. She came in on time and we went to Llanas Supermarket Calamba to meet Jen and Jonas. Before 9:00 am, they reached the supermarket and we left for Aplaya.

From Llanas to Aplaya, it took us 15 minutes by tricycle ride worth Php80.00. Then we finally reached the port, the boarding area of Wonder Island Resort. We were transferred from the port to the island by the boat, and the travelling hour was 3 to 5 minutes (aalog-alog ang boat because we're six passengers only). The transfer from and to port and island is inclusive in the package we had.

We left the port past 9 am and were excited to reach the Wonder Island, and have some fun.

As we were travelling, our humble minds and sights enjoyed the beauty and wonders of nature - of the lake, as if we were having our expensive cruise and we need to make things jovial  and enjoy everything we see up to the very least and single cents we paid for our cruise. (as if as if as if)

We really were enjoying the travel though it was for five minutes only. 

I wish I have a good camera to capture every moment more beautiful.

And we finally got there, I made my friend the model of the welcome streamer ;-)

We arrived at Wonder Island (i forgot) 10am, the staff served us the am snack which is also inclusive in the day tour package we booked. By the way, the day tour package was amounting to Php840.00 per person. This includes the am/pm snack, lunch, use of the facility, of the entire pools and the picnic umbrella. They do not allow to bring our own food.

AM snack, chicken sandwich and iced tea, served right away when we reached the island.

The following are the ameneties Wonder Island offers you. If you are a nature-lover, you will love this place, but if not, you'll end up dissatisfied. We enjoyed the place as much as I enjoyed being with my Nikkoshi friends again.

BTW: Lunch was served at 12nn, viands were chopsuey, fried tilapia tinola and bananas - big serving though.

We decided to finish this memorable moment at 3pm, but because the boat was at the port waiting for a family who will be staying at the resort at night, we were not able to leave at 3, but at 4pm. Late that we discovered that we can stay at the back of the boat to feel the breeze of the air and enjoy the cruise. That was the highlight of our tour.

We enjoyed the boat ride, we reached the port, and then Jen annouced "s***t, nakalimutan ko yung basang damit namin ni jonas" Ahaha, we thought everything will be okay, nakarating na kami at lahat sa port and the boat needs to wait for another passenger para makabalik sa resort. We waited for an hour for those forgotten plastic wet clothes, :-) to pay for this palpak moment, jen bought penoy for the four of us..

That was the day tour we had at Wonder Island, we enjoyed it.

We had a whole day package 8am to 5pm which includes boat transfer, use of swimming pools, use of picnic umbrellas/picnic huts, set meal exclusive of drinks, for Php840.00

It would cost Php756  and Php730 for kids and senior citizens respectively.

My First on October First

Today is October 1, 2010 and here is my balderdash post.

I thought being in a relationship is just like an ordinary thing, you don't care a lot, but then I realized it isn't. I honestly say that I had my first relationship at the age of 29, and take note, it's an LDR. Who would believe that I will fall in love through the net, that I survive being apart from him. I am used to having no one beside me, this is why I endure getting into an LDR relationship. Every day we communicate, phone call, SMS and chat. My relationship with him is opened to my family, my mother knows of him well, my two brother do, so well with my father. I make sure that I have no secrets when it comes to this kind of relationship, especially to my mother. So we will be on our fourth month now, and counting.

But, just like any other relationship, trials, tampuhan and LQ cannot be averted, we've gone through that a lot. Petty things, yet I still feel insensitive and irrational, perhaps, I truly love him that's why. I got jealous when he talks to someone other than me, I doubted his feelings for me and I got pissed when he doesn't text me, truly petty aren't they? That's how I realized that it's not easy getting inloved (and I spelled involved as inlove) into this kind of relationship. I am just so lucky that I have understanding, patient, kind and loving partner. I sometimes tell him, kapag nagsawa ka na sa mga katopakan ko, sabihin mo lang at I will be willing to let go of you. That's how dramatic dhynnes is. Just last night, I had one of the craziest moments duh, a topak just because I was thinking he was talking to someone else and ignored me, yun pala, his server was slow and can't IM'ed me. He had his sumpong too, and left me. When I got home (I was at the office), I couldn't get to sleep thinking of what happened to us, and then I texted him Tnx po sa lahat lahat ha, pwede mo na po balik sa single yung status mo. Tomorrow na lang po ako pagpasok ko, pasensya na po. It seemed easy for me to end our relationship. Then he called me, I couldn't answered well, I was crying, we talked and fixed it. And everything was settled. Hayyyyy, pano na lang kung hindi sya, pano na lang kung pinatulan nya yung text ko? All of a sudden, mawawala yung isang taong I asked from Him ng matagal.

For those of you who has a relationship like mine, learn a lesson from my story, take care of your partner, try to understand every situation you have and listen to each other. Talk about the misunderstanding and fix it right away, don't let it pass by doing nothing, it will make the situation worst.

Ber Months na, Christmas Time na!

I heard the first Christmas song today, it's the "Sa may bahay ang aming bati, merry christmas na maluwalti, ang pag-ibig pag syang naghari, araw araw ay magiging pasko lagi" Aired in ABS CBN through Umagang Kay Ganda.

I can feel the air of Christmas, time will run really fast this time onwards. And I am looking forward to a happier and lovelier new year on 2011. I wonder what awaits me that year... Hmmm hmmm hmmm... And I do hope I Just Opine will gain viewers and income lols :-)

My First and Only One

I finally found someone....ooopppsss, not found, I finally have my only one, I did not look nor search for him. In one unexpected Sunday evening, while spending my time at home, he just came in. A stranger guy whom I never ever met before just popped out in fb requesting to be my friend. That was the start. I never imagined that he will be my one, the man whom I prayed and asked from Him. After so many years of being single, God gave me him, yet light years away from me. Though we are far apart, love exists and forever will.

This blog seems unnotice, I think this is the perfect space for me to write and express what I feel. If maybe someday, my bhe finds this, I hope when that time comes, it will be the time that we are together, I need to wait for eight more months, it's not long though, time wanes so fast that sometimes you cannot even feel that a day has just passed. That's what I feel, and I do not opine.

I love you my one.
