Meet Our Little Lady - Jhaydii

I've been blogging about my breastfeeding journey and our son Kiehl, I missed to share something about our eldest, Ate Jhaydii. So while I'm again here commuting via LrT, I want to share with you how is our eldest going.   Maybe some pictures will do haha. Jhaydii is five years old and now a K2 (kinder 2) at one of the Catholic schools in Pampanga. She is doing well in school ?, with High Honors on the 3rd quarter. Madaldal, nagmamadali in answering seatwork or exams,  sometimes say "teacher alam ko na po yan" every time her teacher discusses topic she already knew - these are the negative things her teacher told us. Grabe no....  We always tell her not to talk too much para di sya maging madaldal, don't say teacher alam ko na po yan if she knows the answer and don't rush in anawering, read and think - ang advice namin sa kanya. Mamememorize na nga nya kasi paulit ulit na kami pagsasabi sa kanya. And we hope she obeys us.

First Day of School - June 16, 2016

She learns to speak Kapampangan when we started to live in Pampanga for good last March 2013. But eventually refused to speak it when she learned to speak knEnglish (naks I am proud) Salamat sa pagka addict nya sa you tube for always watching Maya and Hulyan you tube channel - she now fluently speaks pure English when we are conversing. Talk to her in English and she'll answer you the same, pero pag Tagalog mo sya kinausap syempre Tagalog din sagot nya. Nakaka amaze lang because she learned to construct sentences by her own and with correct grammar. Sometimes she speaks in Brit accent dahil kina Peppa pig naman. Kaya I am still allowing her to watch you tube because from there she learned a lot.

Now - disadvantage naman is whatever toys she sees from you tube, she wants us to buy them for her. Minsan puntahan nya yung toy sa toy store and we didn't know what she wants yun pala nakikita nya sa you tube. Kemamahal naman tapos ang liliit. She has coin banks - hello kitty and minion. They're both almost full and Jhaydii always says that she has money to buy toys and that she will go to America to buy toys na sinasabi kong wala dito sa Pinas. Parang ang dali lang pumunta dun anak!

As an older sister to her baby brother, wala syang selos. I can even trust her looking after her brother kapag maliligo ako Or whenever I'm doing something. And she gets mad every time I'm pretending to scold Kiehl "why are you mad he is still a baby?" Teary eyes pa sya nyan. And I'm very happy na ganyan sya sa kapatid nya.

One time she was watching Phineas and Ferb (ano kasong spelling) meron dun magkapatid wherein the young boy was about to fall and Phineas had a toy na kelangan habulin. Torn between the two - Phineas chose to save her brother. I asked Jhaydii - "if Kiehl is about to fall and you have a toy, who will you save?" Sagot ba naman "kiehl is heavy I can't get him" ? natawa na lang ako sa reason nya.

Pero hindi din mawawala na sasakit ang ulo namin sa kanya. It's normal bata eh. She sometimes hindi nakikinig kelangan how many times ireiterate for her to hear and obey us. Pero I know her katigasan ng ulo slightly is dala lang ng pagkabata nya. And we never get tired of disciplining her para hindi sya pasaway paglaki nya. She's sweet as a whole. Everytime she sees flower kahit gaano pa kaliit yan or kahit nasa sementeryo pa kayo, she'd pick it up and give it to us. She even gave her teacher one time na hinatid ko sya sa school nila. Natuwa naman si teacher, ano daw flower yun. What else do I need to share hmmm... That's it for now. Wish ko this 3rd quarter is she'd be in top 5 na (keep on praying mama dhy).

Kayo po - how are you with your daughter and how do you discipline them? ;)

Happy 9th Month Baby Kiehl!

Last Sunday, March 12 2017 marked the 9th month of our baby boy. The atatata, the I think another talkative David baby turned another month old and has a lot of milestones to date.

  9 months

At 9 months

    • Can sit on his own - bale matagal na hindi ko lang na blog, he was I think 6 months or 7 when he started to sit
    • Can stand on the wall by his own.
    • Can bump his hands on the wall followed by his head so ayun BUKOL!
    • Stands on his swing... Naku pag matutulog yun and magigising, bigla na lang babangon sa pagkakahiga sa duyan and later on will stand..
    • Sit as he wakes up in the middle of the night - grabe nagugulat akong nakikita syang nakaupo as I'm worried baka mahulog sa kama
    • Wakes up the same time as we wake up to prepare her ate in the school - opo nakikisabay sya ng gising. Ayaw kasi nya ng walang katabi kaya nagigising din sya kapag sya na mag isa. So my strategy now is, when I get up every morning, I will transfer him sa swing while he is still sleeping para deretso pa din sleep nya.
    • He has three teeth! Two sa baba and one sa taas which started to protrude in his 8th month. He had fever and pooping when yung upper tooth nya ang tumubo. Ang sungit mamies!
    • Raising his hand as if "Alelujah praise the Lord" katuwa nga eh ang cute hehe...
    • He loves to ride his ate's pink bike!
    • He had tigdas hangin few days before he turned nine
    • He loves to watch commercial ng bear brand and nido - Pag 3 Pataas and Check the Label Mommy. And the Joni Joni Yes Papa in you tube
    • Sleeps well! and I love it! Although yun nga may times na nagigising and uupo

And before he officially turned 9, he had tigdas hangin :( Buti di sya nilagnat. Tuesday morning of March 7th, when I carried him kasi he was incessantly cying, I saw a lot of red rashes on his face. Then all over his body na pala. So I was so worried that I even texted my boss that I will take an EL so I can have my son checked. EH tapos sabi nila tigdas hangin lang yun... His taga alaga gave him a eucalyptus bath, wore him with the black shirt and pants the whole day and night para daw gumaling. And wow nga, I thinkg the rashes lasted for 3 or 4 days. He was 2 days masungit kasi it was itchy.

But after that weekend, he went back to being jolly and madaldal. So that was it. My son's 9th month milestone. I bet he'll start to walk earlier than JD. Jd walked when she was a year and month old. But because Kiehl is a boy and is a breastfed baby, I expect he'll do earlier than her ate. How about you mamas what are your baby's age and where are they now in terms of milestone? Share...

Surprised 60th Birthday Celebration of Tatay

Tatay, the haligi of our tahanan. He who dis his best just to give us what we need. My taga hatid through a bike when I was studying in college. Our tagalako ng butse, palitaw and pilipit. That’s our means of living. Tatay, the talkless father. He is a good father to us, a good husband to inay and a good brother to his siblings. And he’s worthy to have a nice 60th birthday celebration. I cannot remember now when Tiya Neneng and Tiya Nancy visited us in Pampanga, but that was the time when they told me they want to celebrate Tatay’s birthday. My initial plan is just to have a family lunch out. And I agreed to have a surprise celebration. Planning and budgeting were the next thing I did. Reserved a private pool at DJ resort in November 2017, and started buying decorations and some other things needed for the event. Constantly communicating with my titas regarding the plan. His birthday was on January 30th, but because it was weekday, we celebrated it on February 3rd. Came that date. We left Pampanga at 4am. Went first to DJ resort to leave the things for the party. Then went home in Cabatang. Inay knew the plan, she asked  my brother’s in laws to cook rice, tilapia and palabok. Then we left home at 10am. Naiwan muna sina inay at tatay, I told them that I just need to visit the dentist first then kita kita na lang kami.

And then we arrived at the venue. Dami na ng tao. I told them kasi that the party will start at 10am. So prang 11am na nakapag start. Everyone was busy. And I was so surprised to see how many foods were there in the table. Sobrang dami nakakatuwa. I thought it would only be the pastel, pork bbq and palabok. Pero there were more. Tatay’s siblings shared them. Tiya Neneng, Tiya Nympha and Arlene gave the lechon. Tiya Nancy gave the cake, and other foods na hindi ko na alam sino sa mga kapatid nya ang nagbigay. Since dami na ng visitors, I informed Inay to go na sa DJ. Ito na nga... I wasn’t there nung dumating sila. May binili kasi ako. I missed the moment when he was surprised. Buti na lang it was captured in a video. So here it goes. Happy happy ang family. It was like a reunion na din. So thankful that Tatay’s siblings and their families were there. Nakakatuwa. I prepared 6 something para naman hindi boring ang party and some games as well. Sharing with you the pictures to tell the whole story.
